 Usually the only boat out on the water in Subic Bay's beautiful natural harbour, is SHIBUMI - the classic lines of her navy blue hull slicing through the sun-sparkled wavelets.  From October to April the Bay consistently has blue skies, NE breezes and, encircled as it is by forested hills, always has flat water, making sailing exciting without stress or discomfort.  <>
It is a perfect place to spend the day sailing just for its own sake, or cruising to a deserted beach for a swim in crystal clear waters.  If you have never sailed before what could be a better introduction?  Feel the exhilarating power of the wind driving a 42 foot boat through the water, with you at the helm - accompanied only by the swoosh of the water.  <>
If you have sailed a little and want a refresher, or want your partner to understand the passion that you already have for sailing, come and do a three day training course in one of the best environments in the world.  Your teacher will be a Subic Bay resident - British, ex-Royal Navy officer,  passionate environmentalist and sailing enthusiast, in his own boat, a 42ft fast cruising sloop - SHIBUMI.  <>




Charter SHIBUMI - with skipper for US$55 an hour or up to $305 for an 8 hour day.  Or sip a rum and coke as the sun sets over Cinco Picos - for a two to three hour Sunset Booze Cruise - around $150 for four people.  Charges will vary with the time and the number of people who want to go – up to a maximum of 10.

 

Sailing Courses will be tailored to your needs and the number of people, but to give you an idea - a 4 hour Introduction to Sailing for four people would be $300, or the 4 day Practical Sailing Course and Extension (for Navigation and other subjects) for one person would be $1165 – additional students at only $35 per person per day.

There's only one real danger in all of this!  ….. you might get hooked and fall in love with sailing and Subic Bay… but then there's not a lot wrong with that!

Day Sail Charter

The boat can be charted for $55 per hour up to maximum of $305 and 8 hours for up to 6 people.

Up to 4 additional people will be charged at $10 per person.

 

Training

The boat is charted for $275 per day.

Day 2 onwards, the boat charter will be discounted to $250 per day.

Student fees are $35 per person per day.

 

 

Special packages

 

Sunset Booze Cruise

2-3 hours at $130 for the boat plus $10 per person up to a maximum of 10.

 

Sail to Ocean Adventure or Camayan Beach

Roughly a 6 hour return trip – with 3 hours or so at the Park or on the beach.  Max 8 pax

$220 for the boat and $10 per person.  Entrance fee to the Park or the Beach payable directly to Ocean Adventure on arrival.

 

Introduction to Sailing

4 hours sailing in the Bay with instruction for up to 4 people.

$220 for the boat charter and $20 per person.

 

We can arrange accommodation in Subic Bay and transfers for you at very reasonable rates (with no added percentage!)
