Taal View Heights, part of the Ledesco group of realty companies, selling lots in Tagaytay, sponsored TLYC's annual grand event.

This years highlight was the participation of  growing forces on the horizon for Philippine Sailing.

The Philippine Homebuilders association appeared in force, a sign that they were pleased with some of their members feedback from their participation in the event last year.  Although the final results only roy's bagpipesshowed a small number of finishers, the participation in volunteer rescue, the increased activity at TLYC before and after the event was significant. Boat designs were as varied as the sizes they came in.Boats were brought in and tested, and the club even got some new members. The home builders made their presence felt throughout the event, including a display of musical talent by Roy x who played his homebuilt bagpipes at the Saturday night trophy presentation.

Another participant worth mentioning as a rising force in the sport, was Andrew JohnsonFarrier Philippines Melvest Marine Of Melvest Marine. Andrew lauched the company's newly produced Farrier 27, from TLYC's boatramp. He anchored it "stern to" off the beach, showing off the boat's is beautiful construction, as well as its practical nature.  Guests boarded the boat by simply stepping onto the transom, in ankle deep water!  The sternline was then released, bowline pulled in up to the mooring, and then, after raising sail, cast off- all without the use of the auxilliary outboard engine!
The boat is tight, fast, and very responsive. A real joy to sail.

Of course, the primary class was again, the Hobie 16 class, with a total of x participants.
