Taal Volcano Race Series
(Governor’s Cup)
Incorporating the Annual Round Taal Volcano Race 
Saturday 22rd and Sunday 23th November 2003

Entry and Eligibility
Hobie 16 Masters - Helm over 45 yrs and boat built before 1990
Hobie 16 A Class - Experienced Hobie sailors 
Open Class (Racing under PY Handicap System and as individual classes) for Hobie 16s, Hobie 17s, Hobie 18s, Streakers, Lasers, Topaz, Wayfarers, Toppers and any other dinghies.
Women’s Topper Class –  within the Topper class, a separate competition for the top female helm will take place
Other Classes- Any class with 3 or more entries. 

To Enter
To enter phone or e mail Peter Capotosto peter@sailing.org.ph with name, name of crew (if appropriate) type of boat, and present yourself and your entry fee at Registration at Taal Lake Yacht Club on the race day.

Programme of Events and Race Programme
The event will consist of 8 races held over 2 days. 

Saturday 22 November   0800   Registration Commences
     0830   Competitor’s Briefing
     0900   First Warning Signal
     1800 approx  Saturday Night Fever at TLYC

 Race 1  Short triangle or Windward Leeward Course
 Race 2  Timed race part way around Taal Volcano to beach lunch location
 Race 3  Timed race from beach back to TLYC

Masters and Class A will race around taking Taal Volcano to port. Open and Topper Classes will race directly to the lunch beach location with Taal Volcano to Starboard and back  with Taal Volcano to Port.

Sunday 23 November  0900  First Warning Signal
 Race 4 to 8 Triangular or Windward /Leeward Inshore Courses
 Note: Races 5 and 6 may be to and back from an alternative lunch destination.

Entry Fees
The entry fee, to be paid at registration, will be P 1,200 for 2 handed boats and P 600 for single handed boats.
The entry fee covers the boat entry, lunch on Saturday and Party Food at the Saturday Night Party.

Prizes
The result of one race can be dropped from the overall results provided at least 6 races are completed. Results from Races 2 and 3 cannot be dropped.
The Trophies will be awarded to the first 3 boats in each class – Masters, Class A, Open and Toppers Female Helm 
Any class with 3 or 4 entries will have an award for 1st place in that class. Any class with 5 entries will have awards for 1st and 2nd places. Any class with 6 entries and above will have awards for 1st 2nd, and 3rd 
Other prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the Organising Committee.

Overnight Accommodation for Friday and Saturday can be booked through the Event Secretariat
